About Me

Hey! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Drew, let’s see if I can sum up this page briefly:

I was born and raised in Vermont, but as an adult have bounced around from Philly to Connecticut, Seattle, Texas, Boston, Madrid, Central America, Northampton MA, and am currently in Bend after chickening out on moving to Alaska to have a baby.

I have worked as an animator, illustrator and designer for 13 years now, and have been a senior rich media designer for Pointroll for the last five+ years.

Married for seven years, in March, my wife and I became parents for the first time to the most amazing little boy, Cole. I like the kid so much, I talk about him on a new, separate site at Undad.com.

I have ADD, just a generally restless mind, I think. Part of my solution to aid in calming down is to invest time into crazy challenges and projects to help push myself in the direction I feel I ought to be going. Without specific goals in front of me, I feel rudderless and end up wasting far too much time on Facebook. (And I don’t even play Farmville)

This site was always meant to be a portfolio site for my artwork, but because I feel solid in my career, this space has grown into some… other thing. I’m stil figuring out what. If you are curious to see my illustration work, I recommend my flickr portfolio.

What I suspect this blog will become is an examination of my life in steps. I want to go back through some of the things I have done in the past, go over what projects I am currently working on, and generally try to be as interesting as humanly possible. I don’t think of myself as a particularly interesting guy, so in order to make up for that, I have to continually be doing interesting things. I hope you stick around!
